Christmas Lantern Earrings

Today, I've picked out a couple of cane glass beads from my bead collection to turn into Christmas Lanterns. This is a super easy design to put together and doesn't need much explaining. But if you haven't tried making wrapped loops before, then click over to this post which shows you how to do it.

To make a pair of these earrings, you'll need the following supplies:
Bead and finding layout for construction of Christmas Lantern earrings
Begin by threading on all the beads onto the eye pin in the order shown in the photo above, except for the seed bead and teardrop crystal. Turn a loop at the top.

Thread the seed bead and teardrop on the headpin. Leave a 2-3mm gap above the bead and bend the head pin at a 45° angle .

Form a loop with the round nose pliers.
Create a loop above the teardrop crystal

Hook it onto the bottom of the lantern component and create a wrapped loop. Trim the excess.

Attach the teardrop crystal to the bottom of the lantern component

Connect the earring wire to the lantern with the jump ring.
Hook the lantern component and the earring wire onto a jump ring.
