Well, it's just 9 sleeps until the Stamp Antics Retreat and kit preparation is in full swing. I've been burning the midnight oil for the last few nights making sure I've prepared all the handmade components ready for Jenny and the girls to pack into the workshop kits: the eggs have been moulded, the metal shim has been alcohol-inked and the the Dymo labeller has been working overtime punching out word strips. My poor little fingers are feeling the effects of rotating the dial backwards and forwards! I can't wait to share the project with you........ but, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I did. What's that I hear? You want to see? You can't wait until Camp to find out what we're doing? Well OK...... you've twisted my arm. But it's only a teaser to whet your appetite for more! This little guy sits in the corner of the project protecting his nest. And as you can see, we'll be working with two of my favourite things: Lumiere Paints and a Kryl......

Just a quick post today to wish you all a Happy Easter.... I hope it is a day enjoyed with family and friends and that if you are travelling, that you arrive safely home after your journey. I can't share any of the completed pieces with you just yet but here's a little peek at one of them which features a clutch of handmade eggs - not of the chocolate variety I'm afraid, but there are no calories, either! This is a workshop project for the Stamp Antics Retreat in July and it uses a few of my favourite supplies and tools: Lumiere paint, the Cuttlebug and chipboard elements from Collections. This past weekend I've spent in Newcastle teaching workshops at the annual City Meets Country Stamp Camp . And what a lovely weekend it was spent with such a nice group of people who warmly welcomed DH and I. It was Brian's first experience at stamp camp and not being a crafter, he thought he would have a restful long weekend and just pop in and out of the workshops as he pleased. But before he knew it he was working in the shop and helping with the workshops! It was surprising how quickly he picked things up and he really got into the swing of things, much to the delight of the campers. And it was non stop fun from the moment we arrived and set up shop (with a lot of help from Wilma and Tara) and assembled the kits with the help of Tara (what a little speedster she is!).
